An original Rock & Roll band from the SW side of Chicago, formed in 2024:

Our influences are from a myriad of styles, to include classic rock, hard rock, heavy metal, pop, and blues.

Hailing from Chicago, Greystone was formed in 2024 by three members of the Hernandez family. The band’s drummer, Mark, exposed his daughter Alana (vocals) and son Mark (guitar) to his musical talents as well as a wide range of music during their upbringing. Starting off as a collection of intermittent jam sessions, each of the members quickly realized they shared a passion for songwriting and a desire to bring their ideas to life. This realization brought about the creation of Greystone, a band whose music is built on the foundation of Rock n’ Roll. Although this where their sound is most heavily centered, Greystone’s music oscillates throughout various genres. Their multi-decade, multi-genre influences–such as Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Metallica, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Stone Temple Pilots, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, and Amy Winehouse, to name a select few–allow each member to experiment with the notion of what rock music can be in the creation of their songs. The band is currently working on their debut album, A Million Grains of Sand, expected to be released in the late Summer of 2025.
